PoE is limited to 100 meters (328 feet). To solve this problem, Fastcabling has developed a long-distance PoE solution that is able to transmit both power and data beyond 100 meters without breaking the IEEE802.3 standard. The Wide Coverage PoE Extension
PoE technology provides great value for installing low voltage IP devices such as IP Camera, Access Point, and VoIP. While PoE transmission is limited to 100 meters (328 feet) based on IEEE802.3 standard, the challenge of expanding the PoE network is to cover a larger area.
Fiber Optical Network with PoE
Optical fiber cable provides long distance, high speed, and low latency network connection. Moreover, the plastic fibers are free from spikes in the environment and the optical fiber signal is difficult to be hacked.
While the network is unavailable and long distance cables difficult to connect, WLAN is a fair solution to expanding Ethernet access. One of the typical wireless LANs is network bridge communication.
