We got a new camera out at our dock. The new technology was not compatible with the old buried lines. The new lines would only transmit an image over 300 feet. It’s much farther to our camera. This works great and we have a perfect picture. There are a lot of thefts at the lake and vandalism we’d like to monitor; AND, now I get to watch all the geese poop all over my walkway…

I installed this on a Cat5e cable run. There were 2 POE switches between the server and the extender. The extender was installed in a camera pole located 250 ft from the 2nd POE switch and the camera connected to it was located 276 ft further out in the parking lot. It worked like a charm. I’m going to keep one in the truck for those locations where long cable runs are unavoidable
