500m PoE Switch for IP Camera

One of the biggest challenges for business owners and home users when it comes to installing new IP cameras is the distance. Standard PoE has Ethernet cable distance restrictions of 100 meters for data and power transmission, whether for PoE, PoE+ or PoE++. However, with a long-range PoE switch, this limitation is eliminated. The long-range PoE switch enables data and power transmission of up to 500 meters over one Ethernet cable to power IP devices like PoE cameras, WAPs, etc. It allows more PoE cameras to be installed at greater distances. With the long-range PoE switch, there’s no need to run expensive fibers, or install additional hardware in the middle, like media converters. But most PoE cameras do not support long-range capability, an additional PoE extender needs to be installed for each link to transmit the signal back to the switch.
